Job Summary

 

The IT Finance Analyst is responsible for managing financial aspects related to IT projects, operations & procurement. This role involves working closely with IT teams, finance departments, and external vendors to ensure efficient financial processes and compliance.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Collaborate with IT leadership to develop and maintain IT budgets.
  • Monitor actual spending against budget and provide regular reports.
  • Forecast future IT expenses based on project requirements and business needs.
  • Ensure vendors are properly onboarded, kept up to date and vendor inquiries are responded to in a timely manner.
  • Create and manage POs for IT purchases, including hardware, software, and services.
  • Mange renewal timelines for software licenses & hardware support.
  • Ensure accurate coding and allocation of expenses.
  • Coordinate with  IT leaders and accounts payable (AP) teams to ensure timely invoice approval and payment.
  • Calculate and record monthly accruals for IT expenses.
  • Assist in IT financial close processes, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Work with accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Drive process improvement in IT Finance.

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT finance or IT procurement.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, Infor M3, SAP, Apptio).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across IT & finance teams.
  • Experience with IT cost allocation methodologies preferred.
  • Knowledge of ITIL or IT service management processes preferred.
