Purpose:

CRH Americas Materials (AMAT) is seeking a Performance Manager – RMC Distribution to provide overall leadership and guidance focused on margin growth with customer-centric distribution strategies for CRH AMAT Operating Companies.  Working with minimal supervision, this position will champion the RMC delivery fundamentals, leverage the IT tactical systems, promote distribution leadership capabilities, foster innovation, problem-solving, and the sharing of leading practices. 

 

The role will be expected to deliver performance improvement and margin growth through collaboration that will ultimately drive a focus on low cost/customer focused distribution strategy integrated with the Operating Company’s value proposition.  This role requires a high degree of initiative, coordination, and excellent communication skills to work with stakeholders and cross functional partners throughout the entire organization.  Additionally, the candidate will be involved in supporting various performance initiatives, data analytics, related training, and documentation development. This role will report directly to the Vice President of Ready-Mix Performance.

 

To be successful, the preferred candidate should be able to effectively work in a fast-paced, dynamic corporate environment. Proven project, change, and process management experience will be critical for success.

 

Major Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with various business leaders to roadmap and manage the implementation of enterprise distribution fundamentals across AMAT companies ensuring successful adoption.
  • Partner with the Safety Technical team to promote safety by leveraging technology and process within our distribution departments. 
  •  Collaborate with the Operating Companies to conduct assessments on fundamental processes as well as technical and leadership capabilities within the distribution functions.
  •  Develop, implement, and facilitate change management plans.
  • Develop and/or support the creation and delivery of training content and the related reference documentation.
  • Coach Operating Companies to understand their Value Proposition and how they get paid for the service they deliver.
  • Advise and manage stakeholders by reporting on special projects, business challenges and opportunities. 
  •  Identify trends across the company based on data and insights. Provide recommendations to evolve and advance business performance through system optimization.

Qualifications:

  • Education:  Bachelor's/University Degree (or comparable work experience)
  • Preferred experience or field of study:  Ready Mix Concrete Management, Finance, Engineering, Systems Implementation, Product Management, Project Management, or related field of experience
  • Work Experience:  5+ years
  • Travel Requirements:  Various, 30-75% travel
  • Computer Skills:  Technologically savvy, with a full understanding and fluency in relevant computer applications.
