Job Summary

 

As the leading building products manufacturer in North America, Oldcastle APG delivers a large amount of professional educational courses through a variety of channels. As these courses continue to grow and diversify, we are seeking an eLearning Specialist to help unify and manage the development, delivery and upkeep of our eLearning strategy.

 

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, Commercial Masonry, this position will work closely with a variety of stakeholders across Oldcastle APG to tackle the development of an eLearning program in two phases – Phase I: collection and categorization of current assets. Phase II: creation of a long-range strategy and ongoing content development for our eLearning programs.

 

Responsibilities

 

Asset Management

 

  • Work with stakeholders across the organization to identify and collect existing resources in various formats – recordings, webinars, presentations, written documentation, etc
  • Develop a cataloguing methodology to improve tracking of resources and control for versioning
  • Manage ingestion of current – and future – eLearning assets from across the organization
  • Effectively leverage a Learning Management System (LMS) solution to enhance searchability, trackability and overall organization of all content

 

Platform Management

 

  • Identify platforms / tools to centralize eLearning assets, streamline access and improve utilization rates
  • Lead implementation of platforms / tools with internal or external partners, as required. Anticipated to include front-end setup, asset ingestion, categorization, optimization, etc. – with an eye towards future expansion
  • Develop “How To” guides for internal and external audiences to help improve understanding of platforms / tools and improve utilization rates
  • Guide implementation of LMS solution(s) to leverage the full functionality of the platform(s)
  • Experience with Myagi preferred, but not mandatory

 

Program Strategy & Content Development

 

  • Work with stakeholders across the organization to identify gaps in our eLearning assets and develop a comprehensive roadmap for filling those gaps
  • Provide guidance on standards and best practices for future eLearning content – with the goal of developing an interconnected “curriculum”
  • Lead development of multi-media eLearning content in partnership with internal thought leaders, which may include webinars, articles, presentations, videos and more
  • Define processes and protocols for creation, ingestion and dissemination of all eLearning content

 

Performance Reporting

 

  • Provide regular updates on eLearning asset utilization rates, program performance, and progress in developing new content

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
  • 3+ years of experience in eLearning management, product management, education, sales training, marketing or another relevant role
  • Preferred: prior experience with Myagi or similar LMS platforms
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal – as well as strong presentation skills
  • A dedication to organization and ability to collaborate on multiple projects with multiple stakeholders simultaneously
  • Ability to travel up to 15%
