Summary

National Pipe & Plastics, one of the largest PVC pipe producers in North America, is currently seeking a Utility Worker. The Utility Worker oversees assigned lines, minimizes rejects by checking pipe during and after the finishing process, and runs any necessary equipment. This position comes with a $1000 sign on bonus. The first $500 will be paid after the first 90 days, and the other $500 will be after 6 months of employment. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Keeps area clean at all times
• Inspects pipe left on carts by the previous shift
• Assist Machine Tender during string up process
• Rework pipe
• Preband bundles and put in center bands
• Recycle steel-banding scraps
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Requirements / Education / Experience

• High School diploma or GED 
• Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors, and colleagues
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
