Pay: $19-$23, based on experience.

 

Position Overview

We seek a highly motivated Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to learn and grow within a fast-paced organization. We are building a team of high performers and partners who leverage data to deliver insight, aid in decision making, solve problems and respond well to internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail oriented, communicative, able to work independently, and is a solid team contributor. This role requires an individual to be meticulous, personable, and able to multitask. This position reports to the Accounts Payable Manager and regularly interacts with senior management and various company departments.

Job Description Summary

 

· Effectively participate in day-to-day accounts payable activities, including payment runs and reconciliation.

· Review and recommend actions to address items appearing on bank reconciliations.

· Ensure SOX compliance by following policies and keeping updated reports and records.

· Partner with GL Accounting team and senior management to assist in month end close procedures.

· Effectively use company programs for entries, partial listing includes Viewpoint, Tririga, Microsoft Office and SAP.

· Perform daily to quarterly reporting per schedules. On demand reporting for AP shall also be required.

· Error resolution, problem solving and reporting. This position works with internal and external customers assisting with Accounts Payable projects.

· Develop and maintain healthy and respectful business relationships with appropriate internal and external stake holders through professionalism, responsiveness, and superior customer service.

· Escalate issues in relevant forums as necessary.

· Other responsibilities and duties as defined from time to time by finance management.

 

Skills/Education/Experience

· BS/BA Degree in accounting, business, finance required.

· Prior experience in Accounts Payable and General Ledger.

· Strong Excel skills required, strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent written and oral communication skills.

· Self-starter with the ability to problem solve and prioritize to meet deadlines.

Work Requirements

Ÿ Must be 18 years in age or older.

Ÿ Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check.

Ÿ Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as per company policy.

Ÿ Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.

Ÿ Must maintain current driver’s license that meets state requirements.

Ÿ Report to work at designated start time and work required hours.
