Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Ensure company compliance with all applicable SOX requirements
  • Supports the Controller and Operations Management team
  • Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against established targets
  • Supports the monthly close and financial statement preparation
  • Preparing and presenting auditors with information and financial reports during an audit
  • Analyzing and reporting any irregular cost within our plant locations
  • Assist in establishing short and long-range department goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
  • Assist in maintaining contract insurance requirements
  • Assist with the annual budgeting processes
  • Enter and track job billings along with processing sub-contract payments
  • Verify daily job costs and quantities; resolve monthly estimates
  • Regular and timely attendance

Qualifications .

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • Experience with Viewpoint Accounting system preferred
  • Two or more years of experience working as a cost accountant in a construction or manufacturing environment

 

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

  • Possess strong organizational, analytical and communication skills,
  • Has the ability to work under pressure handling multiple and shifting priorities
  • Excellent computer skills including email, Internet, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

 

General Requirements 

  • Mobility to attend various meetings and events at offsite locations
  • Hours are extended throughout the year to include nights and weekends when necessary
  • Travel may be required
  •
