Position Overview

In this role, you’ll be running various types of equipment, working on conveyors, and assisting with the production of aggregates. You’ll play an integral part as we stand together to reinvent the way our world is built.

Shift: Monday – Friday 6am – 4pm. Days/hours worked may vary based on workload.

 

Wage: $23 – 27/hr DOE w/ potential for overtime

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently by utilizing equipment within its designed parameters.
  • Operate loader to ensure proper supply of materials to the wash plant, trucks and other assigned areas.
  • Maintain wash plant operations to ensure timely production.
  • Monitor gauges, dials and operation of machinery.
  • Perform safety inspections and attend routine staff safety meetings.
  • Coordinate production and loading of washed aggregate.
  • Communicate and receive directions from team members.
  • Perform general clean-up, maintenance and housekeeping tasks at the plant.
  • Shovel excess materials from around conveyors and other areas to prevent build up.
  • Drive haul truck to transport and dump crushed rock within the plant.
  • Perform general maintenance (i.e., oiling, greasing plant equipment) as directed and refer major problems to the supervisor.
  • Be part of a team dedicated to safely providing quality products to our internal and external customers.
  • Routinely assist other members of the workforce in different areas of production.
  • Promptly communicate with supervisors on any flaws in material.
  • Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions.
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned to meet business needs.
  • Regular and timely attendance.
  • Participate in and promote an inclusive work environment.

 

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Must pass pre-employment physical exam and pre-employment controlled substance testing.
  • Safety minded professional who demonstrates good performance, attendance and punctuality.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work independently, without direct supervision.
  • Demonstrates the willingness to work overtime and weekends/holidays as needed.
  • Demonstrates the willingness to learn and work a variety of job tasks.
  • Must have current US Authorization to work or ability to obtain without company assistance prior to start date.

 

Preferred Requirements

  • Equipment operation and/or mechanical skills.
  • Previous construction/aggregate or related experience.

  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
