CRH Canada is currently hiring a General Accounting Analyst to join their growing team!

Position Responsibilities

  • Produce high quality accounting reconciliations and transaction
  • Provide accurate, timely, and relevant accounting information to the business unit
  • Execute month-end activities for closing the accounting periods within the agreed timeframe
  • Utilize SAP to assist in gathering and analyzing data as well as reporting results
  • Prepare, post, and review journal entries
  • Working with Business Unit Controllers to ensure timely processing of transactions
  • Recognize and communicate issues and risks with the team
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and US GAAP accounting principles, internal control SOX requirements
  • Support in the preparation of financial reporting packages and statements
  • Support the process improvement initiatives and participate in a collaborative team environment
  • Produce reconciliations and prepare journal entries
  • Cash management
  • Inter-company accounting
  • Joint ventures accounting
  • Ad-hoc inquires and reports
  • Participate in various projects
  • Support as required with preparation of various schedule for auditors

 

Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree with specialization in accounting
  • Enrolled or completed CPA courses, mandatory
  • ​​​Advanced knowledge of (MS Office, Outlook etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
