Job Description Summary
 

The Mold Technician will perform preventative maintenance on machine molds.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Clean molds
  • Lubricate molds as directed
  • Perform a minimum of 6 month and annual PM’s on all injection molds, establish procedures and maintain written documents, logs, etc.
  • Assist with mold changes on occasion
  • Operate heavy equipment and overhead cranes
  • Make minor repairs to molds as directed
  • Maintain a mold inventory list electronically
  • Maintain, install, and repair manufacturing and assembly equipment
  • Maintain building and grounds
  • Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues
  • Basic Computer work
  • Keep work areas clean and organized
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed

Education/Certification

 

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Machinist or Tool and Die Certificate from a Community College preferred
  • At least 3 years of Tool and Die experience preferred
  • Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

 

Experience / Skills
 

  • Forklift training and certification will be provided as necessary
  • Lockout/Tag out authorized training provided
  • Hot work training provided

 

Physical Requirements
 

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
