Position Overview

 

A part of the global diversified building products group, CRH, Americas Materials is currently recruiting for the position of Director, FP&A within the Corporate Finance team and based in Atlanta, GA. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing timely analysis of industry and market activities, as well as other financial duties and analytic support to the VP, FP&A. This is a key position within the CRH Americas Materials Finance function and will receive significant exposure to senior CRH management teams.

 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

 

  • Work closely with parent company in support of CRH public reporting requirements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information for financial analysis.
  • Partner with operations, performance teams, strategy teams to drive strategic decisions around partnership opportunities.
  • Streamline and consolidate monthly reporting for senior management. Responsible for accuracy, quality and timely reviews.
  • Coordinate deep-dive analysis of operating company variances. Identify trends and make recommendations on financial optimization.
  • Model business scenarios and track performance metrics. Provide predictive analysis on future forecast scenarios and market expectations.
  • Key lead for implementation of budget and five-year strategic plan financial projections.
  • Analyze economic, industry and peer information for trend and comparison analysis. Review analysis results and develop insightful suggestions. Review and recommend improvements to the existing forecasting and budgeting process. Evaluate the effectiveness of the process. Deploy technology to drive automation and best practices with forecasting and planning processes.
  • Implement approved process changes, monitor execution, and provide reporting.  Drive continuous improvement mindset.
  • Manage one direct report responsible for commercial analysis, including volume, price, and mix impacts.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis and reports as needed to support decision making.
  • Maintain professional demeanor at all times while representing the company.
  • Other duties as directed.

 

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

 

Education/Experience

 

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing, construction, investment banking or related industry
  • Expert proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel and Hyperion
  • MBA, CPA and/or CMA desirable

 

Work Requirements

 

  • Must have expert proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

  • Willingness to work independently within a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required.
  • Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
