Job Summary

 

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Oldcastle APG East Region Finance team. The Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis will oversee the processes for budgeting, financial forecasting, business unit analytics and variance analysis. This position will report to the Senior Vice President, Finance and work closely with the East Region Heads of Finance to help inform and influence critical financial and operational decisions. Our ideal candidate is a hands-on self-starter with strong skills in data analytics, business intelligence, budgeting, Excel, PowerPoint, financial modeling and organizational communication.

 

  • Help develop the company financial modeling process (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) including profitability analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning.
  • Create, manage and automate actual vs forecast, budget and prior year reports to be reviewed monthly/quarterly with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Prepare, analyze and report key financial and operating metrics. Identify trends, track progress and make recommendations.
  • Regular “learning & training” visits to East Region businesses and manufacturing facilities.
  • Assist with and manage various ad hoc projects to support senior management and business decisions (large capital expenditures, new plants, potential acquisitions).
  • Significant involvement in the roll out process of the new ERP Cloud and budgeting projects.
  • Pricing analysis – tracking magnitude of pricing impact on revenues by company.
  • Monthly review, analysis and approval of all East Region balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Review and update cost and expense trend reports, and analyze variations ensuring alignment with forecast.
  • Responsible for Working Capital and Fixed Overhead spend analysis.

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field (MBA / CPA a plus)
  • 5 - 7 years FP&A experience in a Corporate environment and/or relevant Consulting experience
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience with Budgeting software and Business Intelligence tools
  • Tableau BI & Analytics software knowledge a huge plus
  • Ability to travel domestically on a regular basis (East/Southeast region of the US)
  • Must be open to future relocation for Controller / VP of Finance opportunities
  • Highly personable, effective communicator who can craft positive, trust-based relationships across the company
