Job Summary


The HRIS Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of HRIS projects, sub-projects or the implementation of significant enhancements, from initiation to completion. The role manages project team members, business stakeholders and partner resources to achieve project objects and deliver projects on time, to quality and within budget. The position can work from anywhere in the Eastern Time Zone (EST).


Job Responsibilities


Project Initiation and Planning:

  • Assist with defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

Resource Allocation and Coordination:

  • Assemble and lead project teams, including assigning tasks and responsibilities. Allocate and manage project resources effectively.

Project Execution and Monitoring:

  • Oversee the execution of HR Technology projects according to the project plan. Monitor project progress, track milestones, and manage project risks. Ensure that projects are delivered within scope, budget, and schedule, and Service Level Agreement (SLA).

Stakeholder Management:

  • Maintain regular communication with project stakeholders, including business units, senior leaders, and external partners. Provide project updates, status reports, and presentations as required. Manage stakeholder expectations and address issues promptly.

Quality Assurance and Vendor Management:

  • Ensure that project deliverables meet established quality standards. Implement best practices in project management and IT methodologies. Management of external vendor(s) to ensure timeline delivery of agreed scope to acceptable quality standards.

Budget and Financial Management:

  • Manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost control. Prepare financial reports and forecasts for HRIS projects. Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies.


  • Perform other duties as assigned.



Job Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field.

  • A proven track record of working in the field of IT/HRIT, ideally experience in business relationship management or similar role.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of IT demand management processes and frameworks (e.g., ITIL).

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships as well as relationships with external vendors, and to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Understanding of HR process and a knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors would be advantageous.
