Position Overview


Oldcastle APG is searching for a relationship oriented inside salesperson to serve as Inside Sales Representative in our Lawn and Garden division, tasked with driving commercial growth through customer strategy and outreach. Reporting directly to the National Sales Manager, in this critical role you will leverage internal customer data to execute a customer retention and prospecting strategy, then utilize selling skills to grow business in areas of opportunity. As a key touchstone on our Sales Team, you will become an internal expert in customer data management while also contributing through external business development as a strong ambassador of our Lawn and Garden brand.  Additionally, with active participation in company customer relationship efforts and trade events, this role presents a well-rounded career growth opportunity where the highly motivated and driven candidate will have the opportunity to succeed and advance within our fast-paced, growing organization.


Preferred Background  


  • 360° Partner with demonstrable ability to quickly build rapport and maintain strong relationships with various customers and cross-functional internal teams
  • 3+ years of successful experience in Inside Sales, Customer Service, or mixed Sales operations relevant to this role
  • Strong, enthusiastic communicator able to interface effectively in both one-on-one and group environments, with versatility to do so effectively in-person, over the phone, and across various technology or written mediums
  • Highly organized with a commitment to effective customer data management, with analytical skills to convert into commercial tactics or strategy
  • A competitive spirit and desire to join a dynamic team committed to winning
