Job Summary


Oldcastle APG is searching for an aggressive, customer focused, and results-oriented Sales Support Rep. This individual will assist in the growth and development of APG’s suite of building material products, with a focus on dry mixes, across a competitive customer channel. The Sales Support Rep will help coordinate the execution of building material sales and service across lumberyards, co-ops, and independent dealers. The Sales Support Rep will also be expected to partner with our local company sales teams to improve customer sales and service opportunities. 


  • Maintain the details of all customer specific programs – working closely with independent retail merchants and retail specific web-based platforms to keep all information up to date.
  • Collaborate and communicate with the field sales team across APG companies on retailer programs, sales strategies and opportunities.
  • Support the execution of all independent retail trade shows, events and activities – both national and in-store.
  • Collaborate with APG sales teams to help solve customer needs.
  • Create custom planograms to effectively position products for in-store success.
  • Review customer websites regularly to ensure information is up to date and accurate.




  • React and respond with a sense of urgency and a customer-first mentality.
  • High degree of business acumen – ability to react quickly and find solutions that are mutually beneficial for Oldcastle APG and our customers.
  • Experience in the building material industry or retail channel in a sales support, merchandising or other similar position.
  • Strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all forms.
  • Regular investment in personal and professional development, growth, reflection, and awareness – including knowledge of the building materials industry and our customers’ businesses.
  • Ability to “wear multiple hats” and support roles outside of your day-to-day job description.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% inside North America.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs, e-Commerce, and digital tools – including ability to quickly master unfamiliar platforms such as the proprietary systems utilized by our customers.
