Job Summary
The Project Analyst is a key role within the logistics team and will be responsible for supporting logistics initiatives across Oldcastle APG with a focus on systems and technology. The position will coordinate with both internal and external customers to successfully manage and implement new or enhanced technologies impacting both our private fleet and third-party carriers in the areas of operations, safety and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Lead/support logistics projects and initiatives including the development and management of project planning, team accountability and identification of potential gaps and roadblocks
- Complete business process reviews including process mapping to understand current business state and identify opportunities and strategies for alignment to best practice
- Act as a liaison between our vendors and internal partners to ensure technical and business requirements are met and continuous improvement opportunities are identified and implemented
- Develop and coordinate training using multi- media sources to properly educate and train users in logistics technologies
- Provide scheduled project status reporting to key stakeholders detailing timeline, completed and upcoming tasks and roadblocks
- Prioritize and manage project issue log including ownership and accountability
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related concentration preferred
- 1+ years of experience in logistics or transportation required
- Planning experience in Oracle Transportation Management preferred
- Strong organizational skills and ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal) with key stakeholders
- Ability to work independently with the strong prioritization and time management skills; must be able to work within tight deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to prepare and analyze data, communicate electronically, and assist in the preparation of documents and presentations
- Willingness to learn various programs and software to enable scalability and ability to create efficiencies across functions
- Ability to travel up to 50%
