Job Summary


The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for building and managing the marketing communication specifically for the Pipe and Precast group with a focus on initiatives that drive growth for the organization. This individual will report to the Marcom Manager but will support the Strategic Marketing Director for National Pipe and Precast to develop and execute the annual marketing plans; support process enhancements required to support the OI sales organization and overall customer experience.   This includes but is not limited to content standardization & development, branding, communications plan execution, advertising & promotions, new product introductions, tradeshow & events planning and public relations.  He/she will be responsible for the Pipe and Precast Budget and vendor strategy required to support the business line.  Successful candidates will have 2+ years of relevant experience in a Marketing Communications Role. Candidates should have experience in working and managing external agencies. 




  • Support the Pipe & Precast division of the marketing operation of the business
  • Marketing Communications strategy development and execution under the Director’s leadership
  • Develop appropriate messaging and content based on customer targets
  • Partner with external agencies to develop strategies for Marcom, social, and digital communications
  • Establish and maintain a consistent brand image across platforms
  • Lead marketing alignment with social media initiatives
  • Support trade show plan and ensure successful execution
  • Maintain Pipe & Precast Budget




  • High School Diploma required
  • College degree and/or equivalent job experience of 2+ years in marketing
  • Good computer skills for generating reports, viewing marketing metrics, extracting data and sharing this information with other team members in project updates.  Working knowledge off basic computer applications, programs and features is a must with experience in graphic design being very helpful.
  • Experience using salesforce.com or similar CRM systems considered an asset
  • Project management experience and time-management skills for juggling numerous time-sensitive projects simultaneously.  Being familiar with project management software is also an asset.
  • Understanding of basic marketing and brand management principles
  • Effective use of Social Media platforms including but not limited to Instagram, LinkedIn, FaceBook, Twitter, Pinterest
  • Prior product marketing and/or management an asset
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite an asset  
  • Must exhibit strong customer service skills
  • Must be a great communicator (oral and written)
  • Must be available to support trade shows and off-site photography (up to 10%)




  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and Communications preferred
  • 2 + years more years of relevant in a B2B environment
