Position Overview

CRH Americas Materials is currently recruiting for the position of an E Sourcing Assignment Intern within the Procurement Excellence team based in Atlanta, GA. The successful intern candidate will be responsible for supporting the e-sourcing process.  The candidate will be able to gain basic understanding of the procurement function and practices in spend analysis, category management, supplier management, sourcing, procure to pay and reporting. This is a paid full-time internship (40 hours per week) with a 6-month minimum commitment.

 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

 

  • Work with and apply E-Sourcing Software (RFI/RFP/E-Auctions)
  • Master the perfect E-Sourcing Process (why and how we do it)
  • Engage with other Procurement Teams to obtain the required information to be used for the e-sourcing software/process
  • Provide suggestions to management for improving internal processes.
  • Maintain professional demeanor at all times while representing the company
  • Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

 

Education/Experience

 

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or related field
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Procurement/purchasing/E-Sourcing experience is preferred

 

Work Requirements

 

  • Must be 18 years in age or older.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Willingness to work independently and within in a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required.
