Job Summary

 

The Sr. Financial Reporting Analyst role will be part of a 7 person reporting team responsible for the monthly consolidation and reporting of our 27+ operating companies, supporting and managing our financial reporting systems and  accounting of 1200+ lease portfolio. The role will report to the Financial Reporting Manager and be involved in all aspects of our monthly financial reporting package for management, as well as semi-annual IFRS reporting pack to our parent. You will collaborate as a team with your financial systems counterpart on all aspects of reporting related to our financial system from  mapping and hierarchy updates to testing reports and new functionality. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter with a proactive and analytical mindset. Job Responsibilities

 

  • Reporting:

    • Compile monthly management results and analysis of operating company variances; Provide insights and highlight trends in reporting information; Adhoc analysis as required for senior management

    • Prepare semi-annual IFRS reporting to parent company and related IFRS disclosures and support schedules

    • Support requests related to presentation materials for executive and board level meetings

  • Financial Systems Business Partner:   

    • Partner with Financial Systems on creation, management, and automation of key reports / dashboards; system mapping and hierarchy updates; data loads from ERPs (SAP & M3) to consolidation reporting tools (HFM, EPM and d/EPM).  At times will requires researching and resolving load errors

    • Company is upgrading its ERP system and financial reporting tool.  Help drive effort required for replacing existing IFRS reporting process, including user acceptance testing

 

Job Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Strong understanding of financial statements

  • CPA preferred

  • Public accounting experience preferred

  • Experience with reporting and/or financial systems preferred

  • Preferred experience in M3, d/EPM, EPM, HFM or other consolidation tools and processes
