Position Overview


The Systems Administrator II is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and all related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research to assist with the delivery and ongoing support of innovation within the infrastructure environment. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational standards, controls, and best practices according to industry standards.


Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.


  • Strong leadership with the ability to drive projects and lead Major Incidents that are impacting the enterprise
  • Five plus years’ experience implementing, managing, and supporting an infrastructure within a 7x24 enterprise environment that includes support of multiple Data Centers with approximately 1500 servers
  • Strong understanding of IT system sustainability, system development lifecycle and structured analytical/diagnostic skills
  • Ability to develop and document support solutions using diagrams, written descriptions, and presentations, with ability to communicate and present results to peers and leaders. Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • Strong knowledge and operational experience of server technologies including Windows Server, Active Directory, O365, Azure and Group Policy.
  • Cloud Subject Matter Expert and point of escalation and provide technical direction to team-members and evangelize best practices and methodologies.
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
  • Strong PowerShell experience specific to automation across the enterprise
  • Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers and Infrastructure engineers to implement long term fixes
  • Strong knowledge of Vmware environment including vCenter, vSphere & ESX 6.5 and Storage concepts
  • Experience managing and monitoring server environments using native technology tools, and other monitoring tools such as vCenter, Solarwinds, Splunk, Zerto, Netwrix and equivalent.
  • Self-directing individual demonstrating teamwork, organization skills and a well-structured working approach given multiple priorities
  • Ability to coordinate the activities of multiple stakeholder teams, including customers, and multiple technical teams.
  • Ability to be the liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
  • On-call rotation
  • Maintain a professional demeanor at all times while representing the company 
  • Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required 
  • Other duties as assigned






  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other related area or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years Microsoft systems administration experience
  • Strong Leadership working with Senior Leader at a Director level or higher
  • Azure Experience
  • Citrix 7.x a Plus
  • 5 years of VMware - build, configure, administer, and monitor, backups
  • 4+ years of experience with Enterprise storage solutions


Work Requirements


  • Must be 18 years in age or older.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Report to the office dressed appropriately and ready to begin work at the designated start time.
  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Willingness to work independently within in a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required
  • Ability to travel up to 5% as required by business needs
  • On-Call Schedule
