Job Description Summary

The Estimator position will be responsible for gathering information on retaining wall jobs and use software and engineering drawings to assist the sales team with providing estimates in a preliminary report. When required, he/she will be a point of contact for the customers/vendors and Oldcastle staff to ensure that products are constructed to the required designs/specifications. Additional responsibilities to include:

• Responsible for estimating multiple projects concurrently
• Upon project assignment, shares responsibility with the Sales Team to ensure all needed information and paperwork are complete

 Requirements

• Ability to read and understand civil engineering drawings and specifications
• Strong math and analytical skills
• Ability to communicate, orally and written, including email, to provide clear communications with sales team and management
• Proficient computer skills using Microsoft office applications
• Experience using Salesforce preferred, but not required
• Self-starter, ability to work with minimal supervision
