Job Description Summary

 

We are seeking a Automation Maintenance Technician to be responsible for managing and controlling the Automation, Robotics and Controls activities. This is to assure an adequate and efficient flow of products to each production area to meet individual and collective production objectives, as well as utilization indexes of the main production areas (HRM, HT, FL, UTPA) by establishing guidelines and optimizing production schedules. Achieve utilization indexes of the Automation, Robotics and Controls areas ensuring safety, quality and productivity of the work performed.

 

Essential Duties

 

  • Continuously improve the efficiency of the robotic cells and CNC Machines and controls
  • Be a technical reference for the processes, equipment, and systems for all Robotics and Automation
  • Develop, implement, and execute a comprehensible maintenance program (in coordination and with the support of the centralized maintenance area) for all systems and equipment related with Automation, Robotics and Controls that will complying with the goals and targets assigned to this area
  • Define, develop and execute maintenance inspection and maintenance plans
  • Actively perform failure and root cause analysis and propose and execute the proper corrective action plan
  • Propose, develop and execute master plans to continue to improve maintenance performance, focusing on safety, reliability, and maintainability
  • Program the necessary maintenance activities in PM Days and REX (Extraordinary Repairs)
  • Technically supervising the maintenance activities performed by third parties, assuring safety, quality and productivity while performing the activities
  • Guarantee the availability of critical spare parts
  • Propose and control maintenance costs budget
  • Be a technical referent for equipment or technology under his/her responsibility
  • Actively participate and collaborate with production teams in increasing KPIs (key performance indicators)
  • And other duties as assigned

Requirements/Education/Experience

 

  • High schools diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience or technical degree, associate’s degree, certificate or equivalent in related field
  • Knowledge of Digital/Electrical Control Systems (Siemens S7-1500 F PLCs, Siemens Step 7 engineering software, Profinet, Profisafe, Profi Energy, I Device, Share Device, Profinet I/O)
  • Knowledge of mechanical & transmission equipment
  • Knowledge of lubrication theory and systems
  • Knowledge of AC motor systems
  • Knowledge of power distribution and motor control systems (high & medium Voltage)
  • Knowledge of equipment inspection techniques
  • Knowledge of predictive maintenance
  • Knowledge of hydraulic equipment preferred
  • Knowledge of instrumentation systems preferred
  • Knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic controllers) preferred

 

Physical Environment 

 

  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds 
  • Intermittent bending, crouching, pushing, pulling, stooping and reaching
  • Standing for long periods of time
