The Information Technology Project Manager will plan, establish, and manage information technology (IT) projects and will serve as a liaison between the business and technical aspects of assigned projects.  This role will support the OBE Operations and Supply Chain function to supervise the implementation and daily operation of sourcing systems. You will lead the digital transformation of the function across various functions – identify business need, do discovery and implement new tools around spend management (analytics), supplier/contract management (currently Ariba), ESG/sustainability management (Currently Riskonnect), project portfolio management, asset management and other operations and supply chain platforms/enhancements as the organization transforms into being a standalone entity and embeds functional excellence.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manages assigned IT projects to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope of project.
  • Develops, maintains, and revises proposals for assigned projects including project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, timelines, funding, and staffing.
  • Sets and tracks project milestones; manages and accounts for unforeseen delays, then realigns schedules and expectations as needed.
  • Establishes and implements project communication plans, providing status updates to affected staff and stakeholders.
  • Collects, analyzes, and summarizes information and trends as needed to prepare project status reports.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert and super user for the operations/supply chain function
  • Perform regular assessments and recommend improvements to the systems
  • Ability to support initiatives in 80+ plants across OBE – equipment (CNC’s,  etc.), IoT – Sensors
  • Work with internal resources and third parties/vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective execution of project deliverables.
  • Design user-friendly processes, guidelines, and documentation.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with ERP systems
  • Experience working with Ariba/equivalent tools, Safety software and other related tools allows for easier transition
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced corporate environment.
  • Strong detailed and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of project management principles and planning.
  • Thorough understanding of information technology procedures and practices.
  • Ability to motivate groups of people to complete a project in a timely manner.
