Position Summary:


The Procurement Manager position is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to operational procurement teams, as well as the responsibility to leverage national procurement programs and to identify and implement cost-effective solutions while ensuring that local business requirements are considered. This will be achieved through collaborative opportunity identification with business, sites and category managers. This individual acts as the escalation point for supplier issues, ensures the category strategy is executed, executes RFx, negotiates contracts and supports procurement process execution. This role requires considerable commitment and unwavering collaboration with stakeholders to ensure that purchasing activities align with the needs and requirements of the company and a ONE OBE philosophy.


Here's What You'll Get to Do:


  • Accountable for development, execution, and maintenance of defined category strategy and project procurement plans aligned with stakeholders as well as market and global procurement strategies
  • Evaluate network purchasing data to identify opportunities and ensure buying power is leveraged.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities to reduce cost, leverage scale and share best practices across organization. Maintains project pipeline, tracks progress and reports out on impact from initiatives.
  • Accountable for procurement KPI Performance Management and process adherence within area of responsibility. Provides data and analysis to support business decisions and monitor progress.
  • Maintains strategic relationships with key suppliers.
  • Evaluates contracts and suppliers in order to ensure on-going feasibility and competitiveness and facilitate supplier base decisions with relevant stakeholders
  • Analyzes supply market, anticipates changes, and drives associated procurement activities. Keep abreast of the material, supply and labor trends affecting the business and the impact of these to minimize interruption to the supply of goods and services.
  • Keep the operations informed of any significant developments in the supply and/or pricing of materials and services
  • Ensures products and services are purchased in the most cost- and time-efficient manner, implements and ensures purchasing best practices
  • Ensure that the organization follows procedures and policies with regards to procurement processes and vendor compliance. Support roll-out of new processes and procedures.


Here's What We're Looking For:  


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field.
  • 5+ years of Procurement experience in with 2+ in related market
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Demonstrated negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
  • Experience with category management and procurement execution in dispersed and decentralized facilities
  • Proven ability to work in a matrixed organization and collaborate/influence across functional and organization levels
