Job Description Summary
 

This employee will be responsible for the purchasing of all re-sale items, preparing, establishing, and maintain product codes and pricing. This position will also interface with Customer Service, Inventory and Accounting on related tasks as needed.
 

Essential Job Functions
 

  • Manage stock buy item inventory levels
  • Work closely with vendors and dispatch to insure the best value
  • Prepare monthly consignment billings
  • Assist with forecasting and purchasing of materials and products
  • Assist with resolving billing issues and any conflicts between the company and the vendors
  • Generate and manage monthly blanket purchases and purchase orders
  • Monitor requisitions and verify, prepare, and forward purchase order to vendor
  • Track purchase orders for late PO lines and communicate with affected parties
  • Prepare purchase order by verifying specifications and price; obtaining recommendations from supplies for substitute items; obtaining approval from appropriate manager
  • Assist with Inventory counting process: generate count sheets and enter counts
  • Assist Customer Service as needed with miscellaneous tasks

Requirements
 

  • High school diploma / equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience
  • Manufacturing and Accounting experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to utilize mathematical concepts to compute rate, ratio, percent, percentages, and volume
  • Ability to solve new or existing problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; must be able to maintain confidential information
