Position Summary

 

The primary role of the Regional Sales & Commercial Operations Manager is to oversee the order process from PO to delivery and coordinate efforts with our project related business. The Regional Sales and Commercial Operations Manager will be responsible to manage the project management team to efficiently and effectively process orders, communicate with customers, move projects through the order process, and manage sales orders. They will work closely with the engineering, production and the market sales management teams to resolve any customer service, schedule, or contract issues. They will have oversight for all of our 3rd party relationships and will play an active role in shaping our order processes to provide a high level of service, accuracy, and simplification. The Sales Commercial and Operations Manager will also work with Regional Finance and the Credit and Collections team to resolve any payment disputes or past due customers.  

 

   

Position Responsibilities

 

  • Lead a team of project managers and the project sales team to effectively process orders, service customers, and manage risk, pricing and sales of our project related businesses
  • Develops, implements, and streamlines processes to manage the order fill cycle
  • Oversees deliveries to effectively forecast shipments monthly, quarterly, and annually
  • Drive the total Oldcastle Infrastructure message by recognizing opportunities and collaborating with other Oldcastle business units
  • Reviews and analysis internal reports and responds to customer’s needs in a focused and service-oriented manner, quickly addressing issues to provide world class results
  • Works closely with other managers to drive schedule attainment and resolve customer service issues
  • Proactively minimize, respond to and negotiate customer back charges
  • Manages the change order process to minimize scope creep
  • Assumes overall responsibility to deliver orders on-time and on budget
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Education/Experience

 

  • BS degree or equivalent industry experience preferred.
  • 3 + years sales management experience in industrial or construction environment preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand blueprints and contracts
  • Strong business and financial acumen that translates to sound, profitable sales, and business decisions
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to relate across multiple levels with contractors, engineers, subs and government officials
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CRM software.
  • Valid Driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Willing to travel to customer sites, do overnights, and visit sub-regions as required
