Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified, safety-minded, detail oriented, highly organized individual with strong computer and communication skills to work as an Accountant. This position offers a diverse set of entry level and accounting related job responsibilities. The desired candidate will embrace a team concept when completing assigned tasks along with a strong commitment to do whatever is necessary to perform high quality work, meet deadlines and finish assigned tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure company compliance with all applicable SOX requirements.
- Supports the Controller and Operations Management team.
- Assume responsibility for accounting for the day-to-day operations.
- Inventory accounting, reconciliation and analytics.
- Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against established targets.
- Preparing and presenting auditors with information and financial reports during an audit.
- Executes the monthly closing procedures which include recording journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts and ensuring all entries are properly recorded.
- Assist in establishing short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Minimum of 2 years related or equivalent field experience in a finance/accounting role preferred.
- Manufacturing or construction accounting background preferred.
- Proven ability to develop relationships and to work with teams as both a leader and a participant.
- Self-Motivated
- Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge.
- The ability to interact with employees at every level of the organization.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.

- Business acumen in manufacturing, distribution and/or construction operations.

- Knowledgeable and experienced in using computerized accounting systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

- Thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
- Work independently without constant supervision.
Work Requirements
- Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
- Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and the general public at all times.
- Willing to travel and work away from home when required.
- Willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
- Report to the office dressed appropriately and ready to begin work at the designated start time.
- Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
- Must have the ability to work without close supervision.
Physical Requirements
- Able to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to manipulate objects, talk and hear.
- Vision abilities (with correction) include close, distance, peripheral, depth, and the ability to adjust focus.
- The employee is frequently required to sit and use hands.
- The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.

- The noise level in some areas of the work environment may be moderate.
