Job Description


This role ensures that products are consistently produced to our quality expectations by assessing manufacturing capability, technical specifications, and ensuring quality standards are met during the production life cycle. You will be expected to drive activities across several stakeholder teams including Product Management, Operations, Supply Chain, and suppliers to ensure high quality products.

You will work directly with suppliers and internal stakeholders to review and approve testing results for positive release, interact with and influence manufacturing and external supplier, lead quality incident investigations, and monitor supplier performance.

To succeed in role, you must be obsessed with driving quality standards to earn and maintain customer trust. You'll also need to be comfortable with building strategy from ambiguity, have strong attention to detail, and be self-motivated to learn new information quickly. Our quality managers have strong writing and communication skills coupled with a vision for quality. They have the ability to communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders. They can also identify patterns from large sets of data and are motivated by a fast-paced dynamic environment. Manage the entire lifecycle of multi-stakeholder, complex escalated cases, from intake to resolution and reporting.


Duties include


  • Lead the quality program for the Old Castle Infrastructure enclosures group
  • Build robust quality programs that can be deployed to the site that have all of the needed specifications and defined quality testing
  • Lead a team of quality analyst and quality technician to ensure zero defect products
  • Manage a case load of escalation investigations to meet various SLAs depending on the type of escalation, including non-executive escalations and executive escalations
  • Collaborate closely with our service teams to bring about prompt and complete resolution to escalated, complex, and/or critical defects while zeroing in on root causes to eliminate broken processes and improve the employee experience.
  • Drive cross functional solutions, rapid analysis and project management support for solutions.
  • Identify and communicate roadblocks or risk areas for quality and timing and provide solutions to help ensure products launch on time and on budget without compromising customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate and facilitate root cause analysis with SMEs and service teams to uncover root causes and design corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Make data driven-decisions at scale through tracking and reporting resolution progress to senior stakeholders and leaders until solutions are implemented.
  • Influence design and development of mechanisms to prevent defect recurrence
  • Create milestones and performance across all projects
  • Work cross-functionally across teams to effect service improvements
  • Utilize a case management system to track and manage details of multiple cases simultaneously, including input of actions taken to resolve the case and various types of outputs on regular deadlines.


Basic Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree or similar in Engineering, Manufacturing Management, Supply Chain, Operations Management or related discipline
  • Experience creating, implementing and maintaining internal quality systems/document management systems, standards/SOPs for internal and external applications
  • 3+ years’ experience in program or project management
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
  • 3+ years’ experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in operations
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in utilizing/analyzing customer data to influence strategy in change management
  • Experience partnering with stakeholders and peers cross-functionally
  • Ability to prioritize in complex, fast-paced environment while leading people/teams without formal responsibility
  • Travel is expected to be 40-50%


Preferred Qualification


  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Certification.
  • Self-starter capable to taking initiative and working with minimal direction.
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency in effective written and verbal communication, including presenting to a variety of audiences
  • Demonstrated experience presentation skills, dynamic approach with the ability to translate theory into practical application
