Position Overview
The Plant Groundskeeper/Landscaper position is responsible for the ground maintenance and landscaping of all plant locations. The employee will perform general labor taskes as needed to maintain landscape design, construction, installation and landscape maintenance.
Key Responsibilties (Essential Duties and Functions)
- Work in a safe and professional manner
- Keep plant grounds clean and maintained by mowing, weeding, picking up/removing debris, trim small trees, hedges and shrubs, water lawns or landscapes.
- Maintain work tools and equipment
- Report any accidents or incidents to supervisor
- Informs supervisor of any maintenance or repairs needed
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
- Work 7AM to 5PM Monday through Friday and some weekends
- Have the ability to drive a 100HP tractor hooked to a 15' batwing shedder
- Have the ability to safely drive a truck and pull a trailer
Qualifications
To perform job successfully, and individual must perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous related experience in preferred.
Work Requirements
- Must be 18 years in age or older.
- Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check.
- Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
- Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
- Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
- Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA. Protective equipment that may be required, but not limited to, for this position is: Face Shield, Safety (hard toe) Shoes, and Coveralls. Compliance with all OSHA and/or MSHA regulations.
