Summary
 

This position will interact with Customer Service, Operations, Finance and Sales on related tasks as needed. The primary areas of responsibility will include, but not be limited to, communications and coordination of customer projects from quote to production, troubleshooting job level logistics, ensuring customer compliance with Oldcastle terms and conditions, and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction for commercial masonry customers.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Pre-sale coordination of sales opportunities, including identification of potential projects and generating quotes to customers
  • Post-sale coordination of customer projects from job set up to ongoing deliveries and job finish, including billing for remaining materials not shipped
  • Act as coordinator between operations and sales for routine requests and ensure follow through
  • Job tracking and maintenance to ensure materials are shipped on time, and that materials not shipped within specified limits are billed accordingly
  • Manage equipment needs and locations for commercial masonry dry mix products and ensure equipment is returned to Oldcastle facility on job completion
  • Assist in production prioritization for both concrete masonry units and dry mix masonry materials
  • Administration of sales initiative programs
  • Assist with forecasting and purchasing of resale products
  • Assist with resolving billing issues and quality assurance issues
  • Generate and manage orders purchased through other Oldcastle APG companies
  • Organize marketing collateral and work with sales on reorders
  • Assist with Inventory counting process as well as discrepancy research and resolution
  • Maintain up-to-date reporting and proactive communications to sales leadership and representatives and site managers.
  • Other duties as required

Requirements / Education / Experience
 

  • High school diploma / equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience
  • Sales, Manufacturing, and/or Accounting experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to utilize mathematical concepts to compute rate, ratio, percent, percentages, and volume
  • Ability to solve new or existing problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; must be able to maintain confidential information
