Position Summary:

Dufferin Asphalt, a CRH Company, is seeking a Plant Operator (Batcher). This role is key to ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality asphalt production while supporting daily plant operations and delivering excellent service to our customers.

Responsibliies:

• Operate plant controls to produce hot-mix asphalt according to specifications
• Assist with daily plant operations, maintenance, and repairs
• Provide timely and professional customer service to internal and external stakeholders
• Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, skid steers, and trucks
• Comply with Environmental, Health & Safety policies and identify potential hazards
• Travel to other plant locations as required by production schedules

Requirements:

• Previous experience batching in a constructions materials environment (concrete, asphalt, pre-cast or aggregates) or asphalt plant operations preferred
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Strong communication skills and mechanical aptitude
• Basic computer skills and ability to perform mathematical calculations
• Valid G-class driver’s license
• Welding experience is an asset
• Flexibility to travel to support operational needs
