This position supervises all aspects of the billing and cash application functions performed by the AR staff and the credit/collection department.   



Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee Billing & Cash application process by assisting AR Clerks with questions or problems that arise
  • Oversee Credit & Collections process; make collection calls
  • Collaborate with Sales Team, Dispatch, Inside Sales, Plants and Accounting on tickets, orders, products, etc. 
  • Review and sign off on daily batches (electronic work papers)
  • Ensure compliant to all Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) internal controls and provide support during audits
  • Process several daily / weekly billings
  • Review and reconcile customer accounts continuously
  • Responsible for month end close process around Accounts Receivable processes 
  • Daily customer credit card processing
  • Weekly Management reports for Executive Team, Sales Meetings, etc. 
  • Continuous process improvement of processes within Accounts Receivable
  • Various other duties or projects, as assigned



Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior Supervisory experience is a must
  • 3+ years, experience in credit and collections required
  • 3+ years, experience in accounts receivable

  • Able to effectively communicate in verbal and written form to employees, Management and Executives
  • Excellent phone etiquette with internal and external customers



Reasoning Ability     

  • Able to identify, define and resolve problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Able to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in mathematical, written or oral form

  • Able to talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to manipulate objects, or controls
  • Vision abilities (with correction) include close, distance, peripheral, depth, and the ability to adjust focus
  • May require sitting for extended periods of time
  • Able to move/carry objects up to 25lbs


Work Environment

  • Normally an office environment; however, may travel to plant locations for work related projects
  • The noise level in some areas of the work environment may be moderate, but is typically quiet
