Job Description Summary 

  • Able to work independently with attention to detail and maintain confidentiality
  • Able to create, follow (and work effectively in) a team environment
  • Able to respond to stressful situations, customers and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner
  • Ability to effectively prioritize assignments to meet long-term and short-term deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Able to write reports, document findings, and procedures, and to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Able to do basic math
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check


Duties include, but not limited to


  • Enter, process, and expedite purchase order requests
  • Contact vendors for material schedules and pricing
  • Find new vendors for materials or services as required
  • Work closely with Accounts Payable and/or field personnel for resolution of issues, changes on existing orders, and open purchase orders
  • Run reports to identify open purchase orders and follow up on status
  • Learn preferred vendors and educate field personnel on preferred program benefits
  • Identify and suggest appropriate coding for purchase orders
  • Assist in managing procurement stages of CAPEX projects
  • Perform special projects as assigned
