Job Summary


We are currently looking for a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technicians for our manufacturing facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. This is not a building maintenance position. The position requires the maintenance and repair of production equipment and maintaining storeroom inventory.  The ideal candidate will have thorough knowledge and experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic/mechanical systems. Second shift hours are typically Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm to11:00 pm This position may have daily or weekend overtime as dictated by the production schedule.    


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on the equipment as needed and overhaul the equipment when necessary
  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems and production machines 
  • Following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions and engineering specifications. 
  • Troubleshoot and determine appropriate repairs, replace defective parts as needed, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment. Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools and examining form and texture of arts.
  • Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs and straight edges.
  • Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Regular and predictable attendance, safely perform tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job.


Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements

To be considered for a Maintenance Technician position, the following conditions must be met:

  • Ability to work with production to ensure timely repair of equipment is essential.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Basic computer familiarity
  • Good organizational skills
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Basic understanding  of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to understand and work from mechanical and electrical prints
  • Experience with CNC and PLC systems
  • Some welding and pipe fitting experience necessary
  • Knowledge of local chemical waste removal codes helpful



  • Must be mechanically inclined and have at least 2-3 years’ experience in Maintenance in an industrial plant
  • Must have strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Must have a basic understanding of pneumatics and hydraulic systems
  • Must be able to troubleshoot/repair from electrical and mechanical drawings/prints
  • Basic computer familiarity
  • Some welding and pipe fitting experience necessary
  • Able to work a flexible schedule and/or overtime
  • Must be safety, detail, and quality oriented


  • Proficient troubleshooting skills
  • TPM (Total Preventative Maintenance)
  • Universal maintenance (well rounded)
  • Strong on Variable Frequency Drives (VFD's)
  • Knowledge of control circuit wiring 24VDC is a plus
