Job Summary

 

Leads the budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, implementation, and business strategic analysis of the financial team.  Conducts financial analysis, modeling, forecasting and reporting efforts to ensure efficient financial operations.  Reviews analysis results, develops insightful suggestions for investment, sourcing, cost reduction and leads strategic business decisions. 

 

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

 

  • Support Director of FP & A to meets all deadlines with deliverables of the expected quality.
  • Key participant for the consolidation of management financials for executive leadership, including monthly financial reports, quarterly forecasts, and annual budgets.
  • Work closely with Director to prepare reports for forecasting, sales trends, and monthly financial results analysis, including presentation of financials to senior management.
  • Assemble large quantities of financial data and analytic results and condense them into a coherent story with clear, easy-to-understand conclusions and implications.
  • Create P&L views for key cross-sections of the business, including brand, channel, and product.
  • Prepare Management presentation materials and other formal financial materials. Develop clear and informative methods of presenting financial data to Senior Management
  • Partner with Accounting on annual audit as required.
  • Support the planning of capital spending.
  • Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization
  • Any other tasks as required

 

Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements

 

To be considered for the Financial Analyst position, the following conditions must be met:

 

  • 2-3+ years of business finance or other relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Statistics are preferred major fields
  • MBA is a plus
  • Proven work experience in a quantitatively heavy role
  • Strong quantitative and analytical competency
  • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and modeling skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid time management and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and a strong work ethic
  • Results oriented with a strong sense of urgency
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by completing licensure continued education requirements, attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
