Job Summary
We are seeking a Precast Production Worker who will be responsible for working cooperatively with the Precast Production Lead in a pre-cast concrete environment. The Production worker, under the instruction of the precast Production Lead, will be called on to produce finished pieces by performing any or all of the necessary steps required to do so. In addition, there will be shop maintenance duties and other miscellaneous tasks as required to support the completion of the weekly production schedule and support development of new products.
Job Responsibilities
- Performing mold prep and demolding.
- Mixing and batch set up of materials.
- Applying texture coat to molds.
- Operating sprayers, pump equipment and filling molds.
- Sanding and slurry/finishing of demolded parts.
- Application of sealer to finished pieces.
- Safe transporting of molds and parts thru each process stage and into finished goods inventory. Involves movement of parts from mold to worktable to pallet.
- Cleaning and maintenance of shop, tools, and equipment.
- Managing and maintaining the cast stone shop and production activities in the absence of the Cast Stone Production Lead.
- Work & cross training in sample fulfillment under the direction of the Sample Fulfillment Coordinator.
Job Requirements
- Capable of learning the science of concrete and the processes for casting, curing, and achieving optimal quality and performance.
- High school diploma or GED
- Skilled with power tools; air powered and electrical.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude
- Strong at multi-tasking with good organizational skills
- Reliable and dependable
- Excellent attention to details
- Self-motivated, responsible, and reliable
- Exhibit strong initiative.
- Team worker
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Valid driver’s license
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arm; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel or crouch.
- Physical ability sufficient to lift and maneuver heavy objects and equipment up to 125 lbs.
