Permacon, a CRH Company, is a leader and pioneer in the manufacturing of concrete masonry and landscaping products.  Permacon is a division of Oldcastle® Architectural and operates 11 plants in Ontario and Quebec. 

 

We are currently looking for a Payroll Technician for our head office located in Anjou. One year temporary mandate

 

Reporting to the payroll manager, the payroll technician will be mainly responsible for executing payroll processes for unionized employees for the regions of Quebec and western Canada and ensure its accuracy.

 

He or she will have to ensure pay accuracy by compiling, checking and treating data, maintaining up-to-date records and databases, producing reports, answering official information requests, answering questions from supervisors and employees, maintaining employee files, applying defined control measures and complying with the collective agreements and applicable regulations. 

 

 REQUIRED Qualifications:

  

  • College degree in business administration;
  • Canadian Payroll Association certification – Payroll compliance Practioner (PCP)
  • Knowledge of regulations of other Canadian provinces;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll;
  • Excellent knowledge of computers and Excel software. Capability to learn payroll software, knowledge of Ultipro and Kronos is an asset;
  • Discretion, initiative, organization skills, reliability, detail oriented, able to work with minimum supervision, able to work under pressure and teamwork;
  • French & English, written and spoken is a must.
