Position Overview

This is an entry-level position requiring the employee to perform a wide variety of accounting and office support functions.


Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Assist with reconciling general ledger accounts
  • Help with monthly financial statement review and analysis
  • Assist with month-end procedures
  • Provide support with Sarbanes-Oxley testing and reporting
  • Learn and operate in SPECIFIC SOFTWARE USED
  • Assist with audits
  • Assist with other general accounting and office tasks such as filing and data entry
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Must be enrolled in or a recent graduate with a degree or certification in business, economics, finance or accounting.
  • The individual should have (or be able to quickly gain) knowledge of Internet software, Excel, Word and Outlook.



Work Requirements

Previous experience in accounting is preferred.


Knowledge/Skill Requirements

  • Ability to read, comprehend and give instructions.
  • Ability to write detailed and accurate correspondences. 
  • Ability to speak a second language is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software preferred:  Word, Excel, etc.…
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Knowledge of basic office practices and protocol
  • Meets commitments.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Follows policies and procedures.
  • Supports organization's goals and values.
