Position Overview

 

This internship will assist in the analysis and auditing of our benefit systems, plans, and programs within CRH Americas. This role functions as a liaison with the local Benefit Administrators to provide support on eligibility, enrollment, coverage, troubleshooting, and other benefits data matters.  This position will be based in the Ogden, UT office.

 

 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

 

  • Learn all group Benefit Plan Designs (401k, Health, Rx, Dental, Vision, Disability Plans and Life Insurance)
  • Knowledge and basic understanding of relevant regulations and compliance related to Benefit Plans (ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA)
  • Maintain human resource and benefits management system, software & databases.
  • Analyze and audit HRIS performance system, managing user accounts, and resolving issues.
  • Assist with managing auditing functions and documentation such as automated queries, filters, and reports.
  • Review and audit admin access to PSW and Benefitsolver systems (set-ups, changes, deletes)
  • Ensure appropriate periodic audits of benefits system processes and procedures are followed to reduce inconsistent data.
  • Assist in development and presentations for the BenAdmin meetings and trainings.
  • Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required.
  • Other duties as directed by management.

 

 

Qualifications

 

Education/Experience

 

  •  Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in your Junior or Senior year in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline
  • Exposure within a previous internship or completed course work in benefits and HR administration
  • Strong in MS Word/Excel

 

 

Work Requirements

 

  •  Must be 18 years in age or older
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook
  • Willingness to work independently within in a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required

  • Knowledge and basic understanding of employee benefit plans and compliance
