Position: Ag Mill Operator 

Reports to: Production Supervisor

Shift: Monday-Friday, 11:00pm - 7:00am

Pay: $31.43 + shift differential of  $1.45 11pm to 7am; this is a collective bargaining position

What you’ll be contributing:

 

  • Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines
  • Operates Ag-Lime mills, dryers, and related equipment to make a quality product to meet customer specifications.
  • Uses a front-end loader.
  • Maintains an accurately written log of Ag-Lime production operations.
  • Lubricates equipment as designated by the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Loads trucks
  • Performs various cleanup
  • Observes all safety rules and keep work areas and equipment clean and orderly
  • Additional duties as assigned by supervisor

 

To succeed in this position, you will need:

 

  • High school graduation or equivalent is required
  • Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, charts, and tables. 
  • Ability to safely and effectively operate a  man lift, scissor lift, fork truck, drill press, ironworker, rigging equipment, air, and electric power tools, cutting torch, welder, general hand tools, chain fall, and related equipment. 
  • Willingness to learn, training will be provided

 

What to expect in a cement environment:

 

Work to be performed in a shop environment as well as outdoor exposure throughout the plant.  Mild exposure to cement dust, heat, cold, and noise require compliance with specified safety guidelines and procedures. Exposure to high elevations of up to 90 feet in height. Exposure to all weather conditions. Normal operation of mobile equipment may result in jarring and vibratory exposure.
