Position Overview

Operate both plant and mobile equipment within the Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) line of business safely and efficiently as well as perform necessary maintenance on the plants throughout the year.  This position will require periodic travel between all three Dolomite RMC locations in the Rochester, NY area.

Key Responsibilities
Candidates will report directly to the Operations Manager communicating production requirements and maintenance needs.

• Work in a safe and professional manner
• Engagement in Dolomite’s safety program including daily inspections, risk assessment, and proper use of all Personal Protective Equipment
• Operate plant according to production schedule using appropriate materials to meet quality requirements
• Assist in plant maintenance, housekeeping, and with compiling reports regarding plant production and maintenance
• Perform a wide range of laboring duties within a RMC plant as necessary
• Report any accident or incident to supervisor
• Adhere to all company policies and OSHA regulations for safe working procedures as well as comply with environmental standards
• Travel locally between the three Dolomite RMC locations and assist as necessary.

Work Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required. 
• Experience in mechanical maintenance
• Demonstrate good safety performance
• Demonstrate a willingness to work and communicate well with supervisors, truck drivers and other employees
• Have the ability to follow through with efficiency on verbal and written instructions
• Physical exam, drug screen and background check required before being employed by Dolomite Products Co., Inc.
• Valid state driver’s license and satisfactory driving record is required

Education/Experience

• Minimum of high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Prior related experience is preferred, but training will be provided as needed
