Dufferin Construction is accepting applications for the position of Operators around the GTA and possibly western Canada. We are willing to train the successful candidate on the other equipment listed below. 


Key Responsibilities:


  • Operate concrete placement equipment such as curb machine operator, concrete paver operator, tiner and placer operator. 
  • The candidate will be responsible for performing a pre shift inspection of the machine
  • Set up and slip form curb/ barrier wall using a Gomaco commander III or a Wirtgen SP15
  • Wash down the equipment at the end of the day.
  • Ability to detect safety hazards and equipment/components malfunctions
  • Responsible for upkeep of tools, equipment and work area.
  • Attend daily and weekly safety tailgates and inspections.
  • Comply with the company’s environmental, health and safety policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned


What Makes a Successful Candidate?


  • High school or college diploma in a related discipline
  • Flexible to work for extended time periods, shift work, overtime and on weekends
  • Have mechanical knowledge and experience with general maintenance
  • Valid G class driver's license
  • Ability to work under pressure and adaptable to change
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting experience
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices
  • Able to work independently in a busy environment
  • Use of Personal Protection Equipment is required.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment
  • Mechanical background and or experience in an industrial environment/manufacturing setting
