Position Overview

This position administers all aspects of the parts department for all mobile equipment and shop operations as needed. Also, to cover occasionally at various scale houses weighing customer trucks and issuing proof of purchase in. 

 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist the Shop Manager with daily tasks

  • Obtaining accurate and timely price quotes from suppliers via phone and email.  

  • Filling parts orders as required. 

  • Processing credits for returned goods. 

  • Confirming accuracy of all packing slips, shipping invoices, vouchers, and back orders from suppliers. 

  • Examining and documenting all shipments for subsequent filing of claims. 

  • Making proper use and filing of all parts orders, purchase orders, packing slips and bills of lading.

  • Receiving and receipting of ordered parts 

  • Weighing customer trucks and issuing proof of purchase.

  • Collecting payments.

  • Working with internal and external customers to ensure delivery.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies or procedures.

  • Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public.

  • Possess a strong drive to fulfill commitments, must be punctual and self-motivated.

  • Report to the assigned job site with appropriate personal protective equipment and ready to begin work at the designated start time.

  • Overtime may be necessary during the prime operating months.

  • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.

 

Qualifications

A strong commitment to safety and adherence to applicable federal, state, and local regulations is a must.

 

Education/Experience

  • Industry experience preferred

  • Valid State Driver’s license.

 

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

  • General knowledge of heavy-duty truck parts, related equipment, and safety in shop environments

  • Safety-minded team player

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills, time management, attention to detail, and documentation skills

  • Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required

  • Drug screen and background check required before being employed by The Dolomite Group.

  • Proficient in basic Microsoft Office programs (word, excel, outlook)

  • Ability to work independently 

  • Dependable and timely
