Job Summary

 

The Inside Sales Intern role offers a hands-on opportunity to learn how sales, customer service, and operations work together in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As an intern, you will work directly with the Inside Sales team to support real customer projects, manage important order details, and gain experience in sales communication, problem-solving, and coordinating deliveries. This role is ideal for students who enjoy working with people, want exposure to the sales process from start to finish, and are eager to take on meaningful responsibilities that impact the customer experience.

 

This position is expected to start in-person around May 2026 and continue through the entire summer term (i.e., May 2026 through August 2026). We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time and on-site, for most internships.

 

Job Location

 

  • This is an onsite position located in Wilsonville, OR.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Support the Inside Sales team in daily operations and customer interactions.
  • Assist with order entry, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Conduct quote follow-up with customers and internal teams to ensure project momentum.
  • Help manage and maintain accurate sales and customer records.
  • Assist the sales staff by preparing, updating, and organizing estimates and submittal packages.
  • Coordinate with scheduling and delivery teams.
  • Facilitate and track shipments and order logistics.
  • Assist with return processing and coordination with internal teams.
  • Participate in Inside Sales process optimization and support process documentation efforts.
  • Communicate with operations, production, transportation, and installation teams to ensure alignment on project needs.
  • Maintain professional communication with customers, project managers, designers, and internal partners.
  • Identify potential issues or changes needed and help prepare change orders.
  • Support additional sales-related administrative tasks as needed.

 

Job Requirements

 

  • Current college or university student at the sophomore level or above, pursuing a degree in Business, Sales, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
  • Strong customer-service mindset with a willingness to support customers and internal teams.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience or interest in Smartsheet is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a willingness to engage in sales conversations and customer outreach.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Commitment to accuracy in sales-related documentation and processes.

 

Compensation

 

  • The hourly pay is $25.00/hr.
