About the role 


The Digital Engineering Coordinator is a key member of our Digital Engineering team. In this role you’ll manage enhancements related to our engineering software, while collaborating closely with the responsible product development teams, R&D departments, internal and external developers. The software solutions are used to design our engineered products, delivered for use by our internal engineering departments and external Engineering offices. 


 Main responsibilities 


In this role you’ll: 

  • Coordinate maintenance and enhancement requests from the users of our engineering software solutions to ensure they are completed within the agreed time and budget. 

  • Work with the product managers/leaders at a detailed level, to collect and analyze the software changes or upgrade requests, the exact requirements for the software and create proposals and action plans for the software developers. 

  • Collaborate with internal and external developers to analyze requirements and development effort, to be able to effectively manage the changes and enhancements 

  • Management key stakeholders including the R&D department, engineer end-users and developers. 

  • Prepare updates and effectively communicate on the status of changes and enhancements, next steps and possible risks 

  • Contribute to the overall Digital Engineering ways of working, propose and implement areas of improvement 

  • Keep abreast of R&D on digital construction and arising trends 

  • Regularly engage with a number of both internal and external key stakeholders including: Product Managers / R&D teams, Engineering Departments, end users, Marketing and Comms teams, Platform Developers, external customers & third party software developers 


Experience & qualifications 


To be successful in this role you’ll need: 

  • A Civil engineering or architectural diploma or several years of experience in this field 

  • The ability to understand civil engineering user requirements and translate those into software needs 

  • An interest in software development 

  • A keen interest in digitalization and the automation of engineering and architectural processes 

  • Good communication skills in English  

  • A positive attitude, open minded and accessible team player 

  • Strong problem solving ability; analytical mindset 

  • A basic knowledge of CAD systems/modeling paradigms, CAD data formats, basic computational geometry (Autocad, Revit, Tekla, Inventor or others) is desirable but not essential 

  • Experience in software development is desirable but not essential
