Position Overview 

We’re looking for a talented and suitably experienced person to join us as an IT Business Process Expert – Manufacturing & Quality to be based in one of our offices in across Europe.   In this pivotal  role you will ensure the effective delivery of relevant application services by leveraging your specialist system knowledge and proven business knowledge in the areas of Manufacturing and Quality Management  Additionally, you will work to translates business specifications and effective, efficient and compliant business solutions as required.  Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work on business change projects, defining priorities for the DevOps support partner via the enhancement process. As the subject matter expert you’ll also provide specialist application and solution support for specific elements of the applications estate.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities 

In this role you will be responsible for a number of tasks including:

  • Working as a subject matter expert for a relevant defined application and functional scope on business projects in line with business strategy
  • Quickly grasping user requirements and solution options
  • Owning the enhancements  and related project tasks  and translating functional requirements into solution design, build, test (co-ordinating UAT) and deployment
  • Working on agreed projects and changes  within the agreed time limits
  • Building solutions that comply right first time by design; supported by your basic understanding of GDPR, SOx and other information security policies
  • Providing expert second-line support to IT users in line with agreed SLAs
  • Investigating incidents and identifying and mobilising required resources to aid resolution, or acts to escalate SLA breaches
  • Acting as a subject matter expert in the change management process
  • Stakeholder engagement as the vendor liaison to support service delivery to agreed SLAs
  • Supporting the incident root cause analysis process, Initiates problem management
  • Promoting and supporting continuous process improvement
  • Ensuring compliance with internal control processes and procedures as required

                       

 

Key competencies and relevant experience 

To be successful in this role it is likely that you will be educated to degree standard or able to demonstrate appropriate significant and relevant experience in Sales and Distribution systems and processes such as eCommerce principles. Ideally you will be certified in Sap (S/4Hana) in PP/QM and no less than 2-3 years proven experience in a SAP consulting environment.

You’ll be a highly effective communicator able to ‘talk’ both technical and non-technical and be able to understand enterprise architecture comments. You should also be able to demonstrate your support for innovative thinking and continuous improvement.

 

Additional skills in being adept at defining and building system solutions from business requirements as well as creating systems design and rigorous implementation will also be within your capability. You will be able to demonstrate problem analysis and solving and be adept at producing high quality documentation and evidence your skills in process orientation and of quality process mapping production. Knowledge of SAP variant configurator would also be advantageous, but is not essential.  Finally you’ll be expected to be fluent in English.
