Job Summary
This is an opportunity to join the CRH Ventures team, which is part of the Strategy, Innovation and Ventures (SIV) group at CRH. As the Corporate Venture Capital arm of CRH, the Ventures team is responsible for connecting CRH with external innovation, start-ups, investors, and entrepreneurs. The goal is to stay ahead of disruptive technologies and business models while creating long-term value for the company through investments and partnerships. The Ventures team works closely with other functions at CRH to assess the innovation landscape, develop technology pilots, execute investments and work with portfolio companies.

This role is based at our corporate office in the Perimeter area of Atlanta, GA – hybrid work schedule
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and refine investment theses across the four CRH Ventures focus themes – Aggregates, Cementitious, Roads, and Water – covering both construction technology (ConTech) and climate technology (ClimateTech).
- Quarterback investments end-to-end – from sourcing and evaluation through diligence, structuring, negotiation, and closing – as the primary owner of the deal process.
- Work directly with portfolio companies to execute on their plans and navigate scaling their business.
- Lead due diligence workstreams, directing analysis and coordinating internal experts, external advisors, and CRH operating companies to reach a clear investment recommendation.
- Own and prioritize the deal pipeline for one or more themes, building proprietary sourcing channels and relationships with founders, co-investors, and the broader innovation ecosystem.
- Design and lead commercial pilots and partnerships between portfolio companies and CRH business units, converting investment into real deployment and route-to-market.
- Prepare and present investment memos and recommendations to the senior leadership team and CRH Group Leadership Team, articulating the strategic and financial rationale.
- Travel up to 25% - some international travel
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Approximately 5–8 or more years of relevant work experience in private equity, investment banking, management consulting, corporate venture capital (CVC), or venture capital, including demonstrated ownership of transactions M&A, Private Equity, VC, and/or Management Consulting experience.
- Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and deal-structuring skills, with strong command of investment analysis and comparable-company benchmarking
- Strong interest in and knowledge of the built environment, water, sustainability, and decarbonization, and how technology is transforming the construction value chain.
