Position Overview
CRH Europe is currently recruiting for the position of Executive Assistant to one of our Regional Leadership teams. This role is based in the Europe office in Amsterdam.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Pro-actively managing and optimizing the Managing Director and Finance Director's diaries and daily schedules (plan, make and remind appointments)
- Checking and preparing the files required by the Managing Director and Finance Director to conduct their activities (pre-read documents for meetings, analysis, reports, internal notes, etc.). Ensuring the follow-up of files;
- Ensuring first screening of the MD’s e-mails, answer directly appointment requests and highlight actions requests with deadlines
- Preparing and organizing the logistics of professional trips or events for the MD and FD (internal and external meetings, travels, speeches, seminars, trade-shows, conference calls, etc.);
- Managing expense reports of the MD and FD;
- Attending MD’s meetings (physically or through Teams) and writing minutes when required;
- Sorting and archiving key documents (collect, process, classify and update information);
- Gathering and formatting business monitoring elements (dashboards, indicators, reporting, etc.);
- Supporting the OpCo's Marketing & Communication teams - among other things – organizing internal and external events and carrying-out editorial work (internal magazine, etc.);
- Managing and purchasing office consumables/furniture.
Individual Competencies
For this role you should be/have:
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to deal well with people at all levels within the organisation.
- Self-motivated, possess outstanding organisational and time management skills, and be able to work on own initiative and work remotely.
- Flexibility and ability to multi-task within tight deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- A team-player, showing enthusiasm with a “can-do” attitude.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality on all aspects of the role at all times.
Experience / Education
You are/have:
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a senior EA role.
- Previous experience within a large complex organisation working for senior leadership essential.
- Global travel arrangements experience essential.
- Experience of supporting large organisation meetings and events.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with an aptitude to learn new software.
