Position Overview
This position is to be part of the Europe Finance Reporting (EFR) team in Amsterdam. This team is responsible for the financial processes for the CRH Europe Division and onward submission to the group the Group Function, which is headquartered in Dublin. You will make sure that all reporting follows the accounting policies of CRH, users get the support required and that SOX controls are executed properly on time. Additionally, you will ensure that the senior analysts and developers are supported in the day to day maintenance and administrative tasks and that all communications to end users are of a high quality. Business end users and other members of the finance community require support for Management, Financial, Budget and Strategic Plan processes.
To bring increased commercial, operational and acquisition opportunities CRH primary listing moved to the NYSE. With this change CRH will report quarterly under both USGAAP and IFRS. The EFR team play a leadership role in transitioning Europe towards USGAAP accounting standard and new reporting timetable.
CRH Europe uses ExQL (Exsion Reporting) for all of its management and financial reporting and submits to the Group Hyperion Financial Management where it is consolidated with the remaining parts of CRH.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Support with Management, Financial, Budget and Strategic Plan reporting;
- extracting data from source systems
- checking mapping between systems and reconciling
- submitting data to Group and resolving validations
- reviewing the data and troubleshooting issues when they arise in the process
- Liaise with and support the Group reporting processes with accounting issues and analysis;
- Be the functional user support for the reporting systems including regular knowledge sessions;
- Manage the data integrations between systems and keeping systems aligned;
- Troubleshoot and resolve functional issues arising from the reporting process;
- Assist stakeholders with financial reporting queries;
- Liaise with HFM and technical support to ensure ongoing alignment of systems;
- Perform a change management role by clarifying business requirements and performing UAT for ExQL model and Reports;
- Liaise with the Internal Control team and execute SOX controls.

Experience / Education
You are/have:
- Minimum of 5 year experience in similar role;
- CPA/ACCA qualification is an advantage;
- Specific Knowledge of IFRS and USGAAP is an advantage;
- Excellent understanding of concepts of Financial & Management Reporting principles.
