Purpose of the role:

We’re looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Global Planning & Inventory Manager based out of our European headquarters in Amsterdam. Supply Chain is recognized as a critical function within Leviat to be able to execute the business strategy. Within the global supply chain organization, the Global Planning & Inventory Manager is responsible for E2E planning process including the demand planning, supply planning and inventory planning. You will work actively with regional supply chain team and stakeholders to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the planning process in Leviat to improve the end-to-end lead time and customer service level. You will act as the gate keeper to ensure supply chain planning processes are well defined and implemented. The next years a solid S&OP process with participation of all relevant functions will be set up under your governance and leadership. The role reports to the Global Supply Chain Director

 

 

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

In this role you will be responsible for a number of evolving tasks including:

  • Define planning policies, standards, procedures, processes and KPI’s and PDCA cycle with regions
  • Define Inventory Management policies, standards, procedures, processes KPI’s and PDCA cycle with regions
  • Define the S&OP process and implementation plan
  • Prepare monthly S&OP deck using cross function input 
  • Facilitate S&OP meeting and collaborate 
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and customer service KPI’s 
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a robust project demand forecasting model as well as review and calibrate on project demand (order and forecast) together with sales/product pillar team for the business on a regular basis 
  • Provide transparent production scheduling based on demand forecast as well as customer segmentation and analysis
  • Manage S&OP activities that provide analysis which drive business decisions relative to improving service level, efficiency and customer service via streamlining processes and cost savings projects (Continuous Improvement) 
  • Work closely with purchasing teams on demand and inventory management execution

 

 

Key functional competencies and relevant experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain or equivalent relevant experience
  • Minimum 8 years of supply chain planning experience gained through broad and deep experience in the field and under a matrix structure organization
  • Able to partner with sales to translate market requirements into supply chain planning concepts
  • In depth experience running sales and operations planning (S&OP) processes
  • Comprehensive understanding of ERP system process and key system functions related to demand planning, master scheduling and inventory management 
  • Strong analytical, organization, decision making, written and verbal communication and presentation skills to working level as well as executive levels 
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently while also enjoying collaboration with cross-functional teams and other analysts 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Able to plan and prioritize work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals 
  • Strong business acumen and able to naturally engage with all stakeholders to achieve win-win outcomes
