Position Overview
CRH is looking to appoint a HR Business Partner for our Europe Functions HR team. 
You will report directly to the Senior HR Business Partner and will play a crucial role in managing the people agenda for the Europe Finance, Technology, and Real Estate division teams, as well as the broader talent initiatives for both functions across Europe. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with HR team members from the Europe Division: West, Central and East, and International—along with Group HR and Global HR Centers of Expertise.

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

  • Proactively engage with functional teams in Europe Finance, Technology & Real Estate to develop and implement all elements of the people agenda 
  • Act as a critical partner to challenge and advise teams on all elements of the people and talent agenda
  • Support the SHRBP with the annual talent review cycle and ongoing talent agenda requirements and reporting during the year
  • Support the SHRBP with the processes for the annual performance and reward cycles managing all activity and reporting on an ongoing basis
  • Oversee & support recruitment within the functional remit 
  • Support the SHRBP with all people aspects of organisational change initiatives ensuring all legal and employee relations risks are appropriately managed 
  • Support and lead on various project and initiatives to support the achievement of the people agenda as part of the Europe and broader CRH Global HR team 
  • Stay up to date on HR trends and legislation, ensuring compliance with employment laws and proactively recommending improvements to HR practices
  • Be a central support & lead for the Technology team, insuring you stay up to date with Technology trends.

Key Functional Competencies 
You possess the following:

  • Experience of engagement and relationship building 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR best practices, policies and procedures 
  • Excellent level of HR knowledge in Dutch law
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations 
  • Ability to successfully navigate a highly matrixed global organisation 
  • Excellent level of fluent spoken & written English & Dutch - other languages an advantage

 

Experience / Education
You are/have:

  • Educated to Degree level in HR or a related field
  • 10+ years experience operating at a senior level
